Data Privacy Statement


This data privacy statement is intended to inform users of the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the ElbeCamp GmbH [Falkensteiner Ufer 101, 22587 Hamburg, 040-812949, info@elbecamp.de] on this website.

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data includes all information that is available to a specific person. The collection, processing and use of personal data by ElbeCamp GmbH takes place exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purpose of Data Processing

The ElbeCamp collcts, stores and processes data for its business purposes, such as preparing and concluding accomodation contracts. In addition, personal data are collected through our websites through the following services:

Contact and request forms

If you contact us via one of our request forms, we will store the data you provided (name, address, e-mail, message) in order to process and respond to the request. These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

Access Data / Server Log Files

Our web space provider collects data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files), based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. This access data includes:

Name of the retrieved website, file, date and time of the retrieval, transmitted data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL, IP address and requesting provider.

The ElbeCamp does not use this data, but reserves the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of concrete evidence.

Integrating Third-Party Services and Content

It is possible that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be integrated into this website. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) receive the user’s IP address. Without the IP address, the third-party providers would be unable to send the content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content.

So far, we use the services of Youtube for embedding videos. Please note that Youtube analyze your surfing habits, if you are logged when playing a video with your Youtube account. In addition, we integrate the fonts Lobster, Merriweather, Oswald and Pontano of the provider Google. Cookies

Cookies are small files that save specific information related to the device on a user’s access point to the offer (desktop, smartphone, etc.). They serve two main purposes: To improve the user friendliness of websites (e.g. by saving log-in data), to record statistical data of website use and to analyse this data for the purpose of improving the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent cookies from being saved. However, the usability of our website without cookies is limited.
